The last two times I photographed my work in Studio Himli.

Geertje van Odijk who is my dear friend and a very talented photographer went with me.

We do the styling together and do not have a very fixed plan. I took some vases and other props from my home. Items that I like. Together we play around and make nice settings.

Once we have started the creative process begins. It’s kind of happening…

Creative processes are awesome. Because it’s like something bigger is involved. And the outcome is not something we can decide before we start. The process takes us along.

That’s why I love to make new shapes and things. The surprise of not knowing were it’s going. Which is sometimes also scary. I have to trust that the creative process will lead me to a place that is exciting and delivers good work.

My inner state of being has to be open and without judgement. There has to be a sense of inner peace to be able to make something that I think is worthwhile.
